For the first time ever at Yakima Regional, WSNA and SEIU 1199 came together for a joint sticker up” campaign as our bargaining team went back to the table on Sept. 4. The negotiation team would like to say thank you to all the nurses, NACs, housekeepers, scrub techs, rad techs, nutrition staff, respiratory, admitting and everyone else who participated in demonstrating their commitment to our patients and to winning fair contracts that promotes the retention and recruitment of core staff.

We had a very productive day at the table and were able to reach even more tentative agreements. We are still very far apart on key issues regarding wages and staffing language.

We look forward to continuing the work we started with SIEU as we come together as caregivers and use our collective voice to let the administration know that we stand united, and we demand fair wages, safe staffing and safe working conditions.

In solidarity!

Your negotiation team: Herbie Aganda, Evette Runyon, Mark McFeeley, Laurie Robinson and Ty Fotheringill.
